Want some cool Art that benefits children around the world????!! Only a few days left of Wieden and Kennedy’s Art Auction benefiting Room to Read.
Wieden and Kennedy, a global advertising powerhouse, held a reception for the online art auction, W+K=MAKE, benefiting DenimID’s favorite charity, Room to Read. That night and since, the response has been great. Over $6,000 has been raised and a few more pieces are still available. Some more photos were sent from W&K from the reception and are posted below. BTW…99% of the people were wearing DENIM!
All purchases of artwork can be made online at www.wkmake.com beginning May 7, 2009-May 31, 2009. One hundred percent of sales proceeds goes to San Francisco–based Room to Read, an organization that provides education in developing countries by establishing libraries, creating local-language children’s literature, constructing schools and providing education to girls.
“Welcome to our global art show! The show features artwork from employees across all disciplines and represents all of our global offices including Amsterdam, Delhi, London, New York, Portland, Shanghai and Tokyo. In keeping with W+K’s dedication to supporting charities that provide educational opportunities, all proceeds from the show will benefit Room to Read.” www.wkmake.com
